Thrombosed Hemorrhoid

A Thrombosed Hemorrhoid Can Be Very Painful

Hemorrhoids are there in all of us. It refers to the natural cushions in the anal canal that are tissue masses included with blood vessels. Thrombosed hemorrhoids may also exist in some people. The reason this is talked so much is because of the painful condition it may cause.

Two types of it are seen in people today. They may be internal or external. Excessive pressure on the anal canal region is the cause of both these situations. There are several reasons for pressure to be exerted on the region which include heavy coughing, lifting heavy objects, prolonged standing or sitting down, pregnancy, constipation, or diarrhea.
The main difference of the two will be the location of where they may occur. The internal situation is hidden and will not be painful, but will make a lot of bleeding. It may sometimes come out and go back in again.
The external situation, however, is much more painful and most noticeable out of the two although there will not be any hemorrhaging. Even if it does, it will be from fissures in anal canals but not the hemorrhoids. But the forming of blood clots are seen in thrombosed hemorrhoids.

These blood clots that are formed in the vessels get strangulated and then swell. This can be the scariest appearance of the external situation. But when it comes to the thrombosed, its appearance of the skin may be bluish or a bit purple. They may appear reddish if swollen.
When they are touched, they are felt as pea sized lumps. Other than the pain patients may also feel an itching sensation. Placing them in a bit of warm water for around ten to fifteen minutes will give a patient some temporary relief. Carrying on with daily chores may also be very difficult in a situation like this. Fibrous meals can be a good thing in order to help pass stool better.
There are several medicines that people can buy over the counter from pharmacies and general stores which have some anti-inflammatory characteristics of soothing the symptoms. They come in many forms such as ointments, gels, and creams that are all only temporary. Only serious patients will be taken into surgery. But even then the procedure is to remove the blood clots or the entire hemorrhoid itself.
But the problem that traditional treatments over this is that they only provide relief temporarily. People who are on these treatments often notice a comeback of the problem. The reason for it is that traditional remedies do not work from inside the body. They work only on the symptoms but not on the cause of the problem.

There are some strong ingredients found in over-the-counter treatments today that may make conditions worse sometimes. But you will also be able to find some medicines made up of herbs and other natural ingredients that can be anti-inflammatory. They are quickly absorbed to the blood stream and will act very fast. They may also avoid thrombosed hemorrhoids from appearing ever again.
